Burning Up

And it's not nearly as sexy as the Madonna song.

The hot flashes are in full effect, and have been for 3 days now. I've been waking up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat. And then it is hard for me to fall back asleep so I wake up grumpy. I keep telling myself that at least I will be prepared once menopause hits. If this is the only side effect I have from the Clomid, I can't complain too much though. I still consider myself lucky. It's just that this cycle seems to have hit me harder in that department.

Saturday morning is my follie check. I have had a few twinges but nothing too major. I'm hoping for some plump ovaries (don't you just love the word plump or is it just me?) with some ripe eggs waiting to burst. Oh yeah...and no cysts this time. If all looks good, I'll trigger right there at the office and get a prescription to make sexy time.

BD marathon begins tomorrow, as does the OPK pee-a-thon. I can't wait to see that smiley face so I can put a smile on my face.

ETA: I apologize for my lack of commentary lately. I promise to catch up with my fellow blogettes tomorrow since my boss(es) will be out of town on business!

I hope they cool down for you. No hot flashes here but I am completely EXHAUSTED and have this freakin' 'face headache', it's awful.

I have no particular issue with the word 'plump' unless it also becomes associated with the word 'Geohde's ass'

Sorry for the hot flashes, hopefully that just means it's doing it's job.

Have a fun weekend (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

I'd take the hot flashes over the MOOD swings! ;) Clomid, the last few times I took it, caused me to turn into such a witch!

Good luck this weekend with the follie check and the BD marathons! May you catch those eggies!

I completely had those on clomid.

Ick.

Terrible band headache from ear to ear though -- awful -- however I'd trade that for the overstimulation joys of Follistim.

Wishing you the plumpest (though not too plump)

I am right in the middle of a hot flash right now. Ugh.

And Kim, I get the face headache thing, too. Weird.

Happy BDing!

i hated clomid. i had horrible headaches and hot flashes. plus, i would only produce one crappy follicle. it'll all be worth it in the end though.

i'll keep my fingers crossed for some plump follies :)

Good luck at the follie check tomorrow! Plump is a funny word to describe ovaries – but I hope you see some plump ones. :)

Yuck, I hate that you are having bad hot flashes. Some Clomid cycles were worse for me than others in that regard. Hope they end soon!

Clomid gave me the WORST hot flashes. YUCK!

Hope tomorrow looks good.

I just want to say two thumbs up on the smiley faces. Maybe that can be the next opk? Use of thumbs up or thumbs down. Perhaps as stick that simply said, "no need for nookie" would be better...

Well, the hot flashes are for a good cause (even if they are a pain in the keester)- plump ripe eggies to be fertilized, implant, and grow healthy for 9 long happy months! GL as always :)

PS- I will be checking on the progress tomorrow so please update!!!
