Barf.

This just makes me sick. What a slap to infertile women everywhere. I try not to judge others but...damn.

Could this family be anymore trailer trash?

Thoughts? Comments?

16 years old?! OMG! What is it with that family. Doesn't anyone tell them about birth control. It is one of those WTF things. Why do teenagers and people who are just going to raise messed up kids get to have them, when other more deserving people have such problems. It's unbelievable. Am I the only one disgusted that they obviously went to a tabloid and got paid to tell this story as well?

I just saw this on TMZ. All I could do was roll my eyes. Makes me SICK!

I saw that yesterday on Meghan's blog, and yelled "WTF" at my husband. It makes me completely sick to think about. What is wrong with these people??!

I saw this on the news in my RE's office this morning. All the women in the waiting room cringed when they talked about it.

I'm thinking they could have made a butt-load off of infertiles by donating their high-quality eggs or even by being surrogates if they didn't want their eggs discarded each month. But now they're just adding more disfunction to their family! SICK!!!!

And to think their mom was writing a parenting book???? Glad that's been postoned indeffinitely!!

*sigh* It's just such a trainwreck. I know I shouldn't look, but I can't help myself.

I think everyone is just saddened about it. Seriously? This is a good decision?

I am sad though Lynn Spears isn't publishing her parenting book. I figure for when I'm a mom, I needed some of her sage advice.

I am beyond disgusted. If there was any doubt about the fact that life is unfair -- plain and simply unfair, this is it.

Totally seriously effed up. Are condoms not an option in this world??

For real - if they really were living together, then why oh why a) was mom writing a parenting book, and b) were they not on BIRTH CONTROL?????

Gag me with a dead smurf.

Yeah, apprently 2007 is the year of the unwed pregnant lady...you can also add Jessica Alba to that list.
Let hope 2008 will be the year of the deserving IF ladies.

I don't personally see it as a slap at anyone with infertility. I just see it as yet another teenager given too much too soon and paying the price. Sorry.

I know, it's sad, it's a train wreck. In truth though I'm not happy that people are calling her a ho and a slut and etc, since 1) if my birth control had failed at 16 - oh yeah, and if I could conceive easily - the same thing could have happened to me and 2) it's sexist to come down on her and not on the boyfriend, who I imagine had an equal role in the conception.

I'd like to offer another perspective here. I feel like Jamie's pregnancy really has absolutely nothing to do with my efforts to carry a baby to term. Yes, she was stupid, but to be fair, things aren't necessarily going according to her plan anymore, either, are they? To tell you the truth, I'm more jealous of my pregnant SIL, who is due a week before I was supposed to be due with a (wanted) baby that was conceived on birth control.

I like how everyone is saying that they are proud of her "for taking responsibility."

That doesn't even mean anything!

I don't want to judge her for being unmarried, but getting knocked up at 16 when you are a TEEN CELEBRITY sends a pretty poor message to teenage girls. I mean, most 16 year olds aren't worth millions of dollars and will instead have to worry about healthcare and supporting themselves and their babies, etc. I just hope other girls don't think it is ok to do this. My cousin got pregnant at 16 and had the baby, and she even had 5 more kids by the time she was 29. Four different dads, on welfare, etc. So most girls will not end up like Jamie!!
